The Wörschachklamm is a narrow gorge in the limestone rock on the southern slopes of the Dead Mountains in the Styrian Ennstal in the municipality of Wörschach in the Liezen district in Styria .

location

The entrance (and the beginning of the hiking trail in the direction of Wörschachwald) is located to the west below Selva Castle . The originally navigable path through the gorge was laid out by Gabriel Schally and opened to the public in August 1902. This system can be seen as a pioneering achievement.

Infrastructure

  • Wooden walkways and stairs
  • The wooden sculpture Wildromantische Klamm , created by Tom O'Mally in 2001, can be found directly behind the toll booth to the Klamm.
  • There is also a donkey ranch close by, which not only has a few donkeys but also a llama.
