Wörschach is a municipality with 1140 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Styrian Ennstal in Styria in the Liezen district and the judicial district of Liezen .
geography
Wörschach extends over an area of 42.91 km² and borders Upper Austria in the north . The eastern foothills of the Dead Mountains also run in the north of the municipality .
The Hochmölbing is the highest elevation in the municipality ( 2336 m ). Other striking mountains are the Tausing ( 1822 m ), the Mittermölbing ( 2318 m ), the Kleinmölbing ( 2160 m ), the Bärenfeuchtmölbing ( 1770 m ) and the Aicherlstein at 1180 m above sea level.

The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from May 1, 1992.
Blazon (coat of arms description): "In blue under a golden band of clouds in the head of the shield, three golden tips, covered with a blue, golden-frosted Badeschaff."
Culture and sights
- Wolkenstein Castle : The high medieval castle ruins are located to the east above the entrance of the Wörschachklamm, the castle was the second largest fortified castle in Styria after the Riegersburg and the largest in the Ennstal .
- Wörschacher Moor : The Wörschacher Moor is one of the largest still preserved moors in the Ennstal with an area of around 2.5 km² and is home to the rare corncrake .
- Wörschachklamm : A narrow gorge in the limestone on the southern slopes of the Dead Mountains in the Ennstal.
Economy and Infrastructure
- Together with Irdning-Donnersbachtal and Aigen im Ennstal, the municipality forms the “ Grimming -Donnersbachtal” tourist association. Its seat is Irdning-Donnersbachtal.

- Street: Wörschach is on the B 320 Ennstal Straße .
- Train: The “Wörschach-Schwefelbad” stop is a regional train stop on the Ennstalbahn . Even decades after it was closed, its name points to the former Wörschach sanatorium.

- The Union Wörschach sports club has almost 500 members. Almost every second resident is registered as a member. The sections are women's gymnastics, soccer, stick sports, tennis, table tennis and winter sports.
