Municipal council elections in Styria 2010
The municipal council elections in Styria 2010 were held on March 21, 2010 in all Styrian municipalities - with the exception of Graz - the municipal council . The composition of the municipal councils in Styria was determined. In the Styrian municipalities, the mayors are elected by the respective municipal councils at the constituent meetings.
Nominations
In the 541 municipalities a total of 1617 nominations were submitted. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) ran in all municipalities with the exception of. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) did not run for elections in 23 municipalities. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) ran in slightly more than half of the communities. The Greens (Greens) competed in 86 communities; other lists (lists of names and citizens) in 130 municipalities.

A total of 7,507 mandates were awarded in 541 municipalities. The results in the respective communities are given in community articles.
The turnout fell slightly from 77.81% (2005) to 77.28% (2010). Even so, the number of valid votes rose from 597,096 to 603,141.
