WCPT ("We Are Chicago's Progressive Talk AM / FM") is a progressive talk radio station from Willow Springs, Illinois for the Chicago metropolitan area . It is one of the few US stations that broadcast a more liberal talk radio program. The programs are broadcast by Thom Hartmann , Stephanie Miller and Alan Colmes .
WCPT is owned by Fred Eychaner's Newsweb Corporation. The Democrat Eychaner took over the station in 2005 and created today's format. The station's slogans are “Our Kind of Talk for Our Kind of Town” and “Where / Because Facts Matter”. The studios are located in northwest Chicago.
The program is simulcasted by the sister station WCPT-FM on VHF 92.5 MHz.
