WHB (radio station)

WHB ("Sports Radio 810 WHB") is an American radio broadcaster . The commercial Clear Channel station broadcasts its sports program from Kansas City . The studios are in Overland Park , Kansas, as is the headquarters of its parent company, Union Broadcasting.

WHB was founded by Sam Adair and John T. Schilling and went into operation on April 10, 1922 on 833 kHz. The station is thus Kansas' second oldest radio station.

The five directional transmit antennas are located along Interstate Highway 435 in Northland. It is transmitted as a class A station with 50 kW at 810 kHz.
