Protected area of ​​national importance

With a resolution of the government council of December 20, 1978, the wax thorn moss was placed under protection and entered in the directory of nature reserves. It was later included in the federal inventory of raised and transitional moors of national importance (1991) and in the federal inventory of flat moors of national importance (1994).
