Election test stone

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Germany and Austria, inquiries from interest groups and the responses of the parties questioned to them, which are published before elections or pending political decisions and are intended to influence political decision-making, are primarily referred to as election test stones . The declaration as touchstones and not as demands should emphasize the (party) political independence of the lobby organization.

aims

Election test stones are also intended to provide voters with orientation before the election; A voter can try to draw conclusions from the questions asked and the statements given by a party (to what extent they answer the questions) on which points the positions of a party agree with the respective lobby organization. He can speculate or predict what that party (if represented in the next government) may or may not do about this position (s).
