Delusional thought

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The delusional thought belongs to the content-related thought disorders , with which abnormal thought content or dysfunctional thought patterns are designated. This includes over-valued ideas, delusional thoughts and - in the border area between thinking and experiencing - obsessive thoughts. What they all have in common is that distorted or erroneous ideas dominate the mind. Delusional thoughts are intellectual preoccupations with the delusional, which can ultimately be shaped into a delusional system.
