Forest Switzerland
WaldSchweiz is the association of Swiss forest owners - previously Waldwirtschaft Schweiz WVS. It represents the interests of around 250,000 private and public forest owners. WaldSchweiz advocates framework conditions that allow forest companies to manage the Swiss forest in an economically and ecologically sustainable way so that it remains healthy and diverse.
The association supports forest owners in marketing their wood products and other forest services. It offers training and further education as well as business support. The association is also the publisher of the specialist magazines “WALD & HOLZ” and “LA FORÊT”. Members of WaldSchweiz are cantonal and regional forest management associations, cantons and individual forest owners. The office in Solothurn has around 30 employees.
The organization and its members are represented throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein .
In order to achieve the stated goals, the association brings its concerns up to date at all political levels: with its own initiatives, in statements on consultations and hearings, with information and arguments and through active lobbying.

Initial and continuing education
WaldSchweiz is active in education and training. And offers training in forestry. The courses are aimed at professionals from various industries, as well as private individuals, and take place at locations throughout Switzerland.
Economy & Business Administration
WaldSchweiz develops and sells industry-specific software solutions and offers the corresponding support. In addition, individual business advisory services are part of the offer.
Communication and politics
WaldSchweiz's communication is aimed at experts and the general public. Its aim is to secure trust in forest owners and forest operations and to strengthen understanding of forest management. The association seeks dialogue with all people and institutions interested in the forest.
Forest shop
WaldSchweiz operates its own online shop, which carries a wide range of products for forest work and green maintenance.
Forest and Wood magazine
The association is the publisher of the forestry journal «WALD und HOLZ» and the French-language journal «LA FORÊT» .
