Walter Krötz

Walter Krötz (* in the 20th century) is a former German ice hockey player and multiple German champion.

Life

Walter Krötz comes from Füssen . Since he was very interested in ice hockey, he became a member of the leading German ice hockey club in the 1950s and 1960s, the EV Füssen . Because of his achievements, he soon got into the club's first team, in which he then became one of the regular players and top performers of his club for years and with him became a total of eight German champions . This was achieved for the first time in the 1956 season, further titles followed in 1957, 1958, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964 and 1965.

When FV Füssen became German ice hockey champions for the tenth time in 1963, Federal President Heinrich Lübke took this as an opportunity to award all members of the championship team the silver laurel leaf on March 10, 1963 .
