Walter Mondl

Walter Mondl (born May 4, 1923 in Grusbach ; † January 2, 2004 in Mistelbach ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and an Austrian Federal Railroad official. Mondl was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1959 to 1966 and a member of the National Council from 1966 to 1982 .

After completing compulsory school, Mondl attended technical secondary school and was then a specialist at ÖBB. Between 1956 and 1966 he was a councilor in Mistelbach and from 1958 to 1967 he was the managing district party chairman of the SPÖ. In 1967 Mondl was elected to the city council, between 1970 and 1971 he was a councilor in Laa an der Thaya. Mondl took over the office of SPÖ district party chairman in 1967 and represented the SPÖ from June 4, 1959 to March 29, 1966 in the Lower Austrian state parliament. He was then from March 30, 1966 to December 8, 1982 member of the National Council.
