Walter Stoltze

Walter Stoltze (* 1904 ; † November 8, 1969 ) was a German bicycle ball player .

Walter Stoltze contested the first competitions together with Kurt Aderhold from Erfurt. He achieved his greatest successes together with his three years older brother Georg Stoltze . Both became German champions in 1924 and came second in the three following years, behind Gustav Koeping / W. Schulz from RV Falke Hamburg-Stellingen.

In 1928, the two brothers won the first European cycling championship in Zurich, and a year later in Strasbourg they came second.

Walter Stoltze's other partners were Ludwig Lohfeld and Franz Hornung.

Stoltze was one of the co-organizers of the east zone championship in 1948. With his brother Georg he took second place and was only defeated in the decider Lindner / Rudolph.

After his active career, Stoltze got involved in the youth field and worked as a referee and referee.

In 1964 he received the Golden Badge of Honor from the DRSV . His nephew was the cyclist Georg Stoltze .
