The coat of arms of the municipality of Oberehrenbach was the official emblem of Oberehrenbach (Forchheim district) from 1952 until the municipality was dissolved on May 1, 1978 . The coat of arms shows a standing farmer in a silver shield, who holds up a blue ploughshare in his right hand and puts his left hand on his hip.

history

Oberehrenbach had a coat of arms seal as early as the 17th century, which is extremely rare for a rural community. When the municipality's coat of arms was redesigned, the former seal image of the “freyen municipality” was adopted almost unchanged. The tinging ties in with the peasant costume as it was still worn in the Franconian lowlands in the 19th century .

The approval of the use of the coat of arms was given by a resolution of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior of August 12, 1952.
