War War War is Country Joe McDonald's fourth solo album . It was published in 1971 and in it he set poems about World War I by Robert W. Service . The album received three stars out of five on Allmusic, and it reached number 185 on the Billboard 200.
37 years after the album was first released, the 66-year-old McDonald released a live version in 2008 ( War War War Live ).

Instruments
War War War is one of the albums that McDonald performed without the accompaniment of other musicians. Mostly he sang to the guitar, but he also used the harmonica, organ and tambourine.
