Warkany syndrome

Two syndromes are described as Warkany syndrome :

As Warkany syndrome is a 1 on the X-chromosome situated gene defect with recessive inheritance , respectively.

Mosaic trisomy 8 is referred to as Warkany syndrome 2 .

Both syndromes were named after Joseph Warkany (1902-1992), a US pediatrician and human geneticist at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati , Ohio .
