Warlords Battlecry is a series of real-time strategy games from Australian game developer Steve Fawkner . Fawkner designed the series while working for the Australian development studio Strategic Studies Group (SSG) and continued it with his development studio Infinite Interactive after he left . It is an offshoot of the Warlords -Spielereihe .

description

Warlords Battlecry is also set in the fantasy medieval world of Etheria and ported the originally turn-based gameplay of the Warlords series into a real-time combat system. The core is the genre-typical structure of a base and the safeguarding of the production chains for unit production in order to then destroy all enemy units and facilities. The hero system of the Warlords series has also been adopted, according to which special hero units can take on side missions similar to role-playing characters , collect experience points, learn special skills and thus can be trained to become particularly powerful units from which the characters accompanying them can also benefit. In this point, the game is similar to Warcraft 3 , published two years after Warlords Battlecry , which helped the principle of hero characters in the strategy genre to great popularity.
