Warm address

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Warm addresses are addresses of people ( customers ) of a company that had already been contact with the company, as opposed to a company (yet) "cold addresses" of those who never asked anything in this company or bought.

For mailings that are sent to “warm addresses”, the expected response is many times higher than for “cold addresses”, which only happen to contain potential customers. “Warm addresses” are therefore naturally more valuable for the respective company.

When it comes to address trading, it is essential to determine whether the addresses are hot or cold, and how this claim can be verified.
