Warp pipe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Warp Pipe is software that enables network games over the Internet with the Nintendo GameCube game console . This means that GameCube titles that only support network games in the local network can be played across the Internet. A PC with broadband access acts as a router.

thought

The development team behind Warp Pipe is made up of Nintendo fans who would love to play online with their consoles. Nintendo does not offer this service, however, and the only official online game is Phantasy Star Online . Warp Pipe is not an offer from Nintendo.

technology

Warp Pipe leads the GameCube to believe that it is connected to other GameCubes via LAN . The Warp Pipe offer therefore only works with GameCube games that have a LAN function. In reality, however, the LAN cable is plugged into the PC . Now Warp Pipe connects different GameCube users to the internet .

Trivia
