The Mniszech Palace was the seat of the Warszawska Resursa Kupiecka from 1829 to 1939

The Warszawska Resursa Kupiecka (also Stowarzyszenie Warszawskich Kupców , German about: Society of Warsaw Merchants , formerly also known as Kaufmann Resource , Commercial Resource or Sociable Association of Wholesale Merchants ) was an association of Warsaw merchants founded in 1820 .

Members of society were not only merchants, but also other members of the wealthy bourgeoisie and the intelligentsia. In addition to business events, there were also many social events; this included dinners, parties, balls and concerts. The Resursa premises could also be rented for private parties. Members could meet in suitable rooms, the society had a library and newspaper display. The purpose of the company was to promote business and private contacts as well as recreation in social gatherings. Promoting music culture was also particularly important. So was Frederic Chopin several concerts in rooms of Resursa.

Initially, the company was located in the Młodziejowski Palace on Miodowa Street . The Mniszech Palace on Ulica Sentorska served as the seat from 1829 to 1939 .

In 1832 parts of the members split off and founded another society, Nowa Resursa Kupiecka , which was later to be renamed Resursa Obywatelska (German roughly: civil society ). The seat of the new company was moved to the Palace of the Four Winds in Ulica Długa , where it remained until 1856. From 1856 to 1861 the now defunct Tarnowski Palace on Ulica Krakowskie Przedmieście was the society's home. In 1861 she moved into a purpose-built building ( Gmach Resursy Obywatelskiej ), also located on Krakowskie Przedmieście . She stayed here until 1939.
