The Varvariwka Bridge ( Ukrainian Варварівський міст / Warwariwskyj mist , official name Південнобузький міст Piwdennobuskyj mist ; German "Southern Bug Bridge") is a swing bridge over the Southern Bug in southern Ukraine .

The international trunk road M 14 runs over the road bridge and connects the Varwariwka district in the northwest of the city of Mykolaiv on the right bank of the Bug Estuary with the rest of the city on the left bank. It is used by 30,000 vehicles, including 7,000 trucks, every day.

In place of the current bridge, there was a wooden floating bridge until the end of March 1944 , which was destroyed when German troops withdrew during the Second World War. This was poorly repaired a short time later, but not fully repaired until 1946. Construction of the new bridge was approved in 1957, took seven years and was completed on July 18, 1964.

The bridge has a total length of 750.7 m and a width of 15.7 m. The movable part has a length of 128.7 m and can be rotated 90 ° clockwise.
