The expression wash-out (dt. Washing out) stands

- in meteorology for the washing out of particles in the air by rain, see Wash-out
- in the textile industry , where it is also known as délavé or stonewash , for a dye that washes out a little more with each wash and slowly fades. This is particularly widespread in jeans .
