Drainage

The term dewatering is used in several technical branches.

• Dewatering (construction) for processes that have the purpose of temporarily or permanently drying the excavation.
• Drainage (mining) for removing pit water from the underground area.
• Dewatering (tunnel construction) for all measures that serve to safely hold off, contain and discharge the mountain water.
• Sewer in hydraulic engineering - drainage in a navigable channel.
