from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Broichhof waterworks in the Neuss city forest in the north of Neuss was planned and built between 1911 and 1914. The architect was Carl Sittel . Since August 22, 1914, it has been raising groundwater for the water supply of Neuss. It was named after the farm about 150 m away. After 1945 and 1971 the wells were rebuilt. There are currently six vertical wells. The annual production is 3,300,000 m³. The water is processed via a denitrification plant , the decarbonisation plant and the manganese removal plant.
