Wat Pa Pradu

The Wat Pa Pradu ( Thai วัด ป่า ประดู่ - Temple in the Forest of the Padouk Trees [Pterocarpus Macrocarpus] ) is a Buddhist temple complex ( Wat ) from the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom and is located in Rayong , in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

The main attractions of the temple are the reclining Buddha figure and a "western style" seated Buddha, called Phra Pa Lilai (Thai: พระ ป่า เล ไลย ก์ ) because of his sitting posture and in the style of the early Ayutthaya period (or the third U-Thong period ) is held.

The recumbent figure has a peculiarity in that it lies on its left side. Typically the reclining Buddha is depicted to the right. It is almost twelve meters long and over three meters high. The statue protective viharn dates back to the 1981st
