The alternating aisle, also known as the deep loading line or boat top in English, is the waterline area of ​​the hull of a sea-going ship, which is submerged when the ship is empty and submerged when the ship is loaded. On the one hand, this area is subject to high mechanical stress, but is also exposed to the changing attack of sea water and oxygen and is therefore painted on many ships with a special boat top color, which, in addition to the general anti-corrosion properties of an outboard paint, the anti-fouling properties of the underwater paint with the aesthetic demands on a surface coating.
