The Wedge Tomb of Lissalondoon ( Irish Lios an Londúnaigh ) is located south of the Dooyertha River (Irish: An Dúghiortach ) and west of the R349 road from Loughrea to Athenry in County Galway in Ireland . Wedge Tombs ( German  "Keilgräber" ), formerly also called "wedge-shaped gallery grave", are double-walled, aisle-free, mostly undivided megalithic systems from the late Neolithic Age .

description

The small, hidden northeast-southwest-oriented wedge grave consists of a chamber covered by a 1.8 m long, 1.1 m wide and 0.4 m thick capstone. The plate rests on two side stones on the north side and one side stone on the south side. The structure is in the middle of a grass-covered hill about 6 feet in diameter.
