Weir (unit)
Wehr was a German area measure in mining . Depending on the size of the laugher , the following dimensions also changed. The following dimensions were most commonly used:
- 1 weir = 2 fiefdoms
- 1 fiefdom = 7 laughs long and wide = 49 square laughs
- 4 fiefs = 1 size = 2 weirs
- 3 weirs = 1 treasure trove
- In Eisleben 1 fiefdom was on the raft = 66 laughers long and 22 laughers wide = ¼ treasure trove
In the true sense of the word, fiefs were the rights to the pits and facilities that were transferred. The most valuable were the main fiefs, the so-called treasure troves. The opposite were the minor loans.
