Belarusian Republican Young Union

The Belarusian Republican Youth Union ( Belarusian Беларускі рэспубліканскі саюз моладзі ; Russian Белорусский республиканский союз молодежи ) is a Belarusian pro-government youth organization . It was created on September 6, 2002 from a merger of the Belarusian Young Union and the Belarusian Patriotic Young Union . The organization describes itself on its own website as the successor to the Komsomol . The Belarusian Republican Youth are patriotic and loyal to President Aljaksandr Lukashenka. Their activities include marching with the Belarusian flag on the commemoration days of the Soviet soldiers who fell during World War II . The organization also organizes sporting activities and concerts.

The association is scornfully called "Lukamol" (based on the Komsomol ) by its critics .
