Route

Route

In the railway sector , a route is a series of points that a vehicle can pass through one after the other. In a track field in which parallel tracks are connected to their respective neighboring tracks at regular intervals by switches, routes are created, for example, which run diagonally to the connected tracks. A frequent application of routes is the division of a track into several in a track harp .

Rail vehicles often rock heavily as a result of the jolts when driving through routes.
