Vineyard roll

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The so-called Weinbergrolle is an official register of all vineyards that have been tested and approved for the production of wine . The official German term for the Weinbergrolle is Weinberglagenverordnung. However, both terms are also used in parallel ex officio. The more colloquial term Weinbergrolle is due to the fact that in earlier centuries documents were rolled rather than folded. Maps of the Weinbergrolle must be publicly displayed for fourteen days in the event of changes in order to be able to raise the basis for any objections to the respective municipality.
