World Dance Day
The World Dance Day was suggested by the International Committee of Dance of the International Theater Institute (ITI of UNESCO ) and was first proclaimed in 1982 to honor dance as a universal language in the world. It takes place worldwide every year on April 29th , the birthday of the French dancer and choreographer Jean-Georges Noverre (1727–1810), the founder of modern ballet.
