It is also included in the list of architectural monuments in Regensburg-Wöhrde .

location

The building is located on the island of Wöhrd in the city of Regensburg, directly on the banks of the Danube, a few meters downstream from the Iron Bridge .

history

In earlier times this house, like the neighboring houses, was used by fishermen.
In 1907 the building was rebuilt and received the south facade in the neo-baroque style that is still preserved today. The building has been owned by the current family since the 1930s.

Redevelopment

In the building, the structure of the 18th century has largely been preserved. The interior walls on the first floor, all wooden beam ceilings and the floors, the stairs from the first floor to the upper floor with railings and on the first floor the paving of the floor made of Solnhofner slabs could be preserved. The facade was restored and the entrance door was copied. The single-glazed windows were repaired and supplemented by modern windows - behind the original ones. The roof structure was classified as no longer load-bearing and, with the exception of five rafters, was renewed. There were massive problems with the statics on the ground floor, which resulted in considerable additional costs.
