Werner Tschannen

Werner Tschannen (born before 1964) is a Swiss former goalkeeper. Tschannen was goalkeeper of FC Biel-Bienne from 1964 to 1971 and from 1972 to 1980 .

Tschannen has played a few games with the B national team and has reached the Cup semi-finals three times with FC Biel-Bienne. Along with Fritz Jucker, at the age of 15 in the first team he is the longest-serving player at FC Biel-Bienne. He also went through the entire junior division of FC Biel-Bienne and was called up for the Swiss selection for the 1964 UEFA tournament in Holland.

In 2012 he was a member of the board of directors of FC Biel for a short time, but resigned after a few months because of “differing views on how to deal with the sports department”.
