Value density

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under value density , the ratio of value is referred to the volume of a substance.

It is important to have a high value density when storing materials for investments, mostly precious or industrial metals , as the storage space is limited. Although there are exchange-traded commodities that are physically secured with gold , the same would be practically impossible to achieve in copper due to the lower value density and the storage space required as a result. In addition, a high value density is a basic requirement for a Kurant coin .
