The Western Lacrosse Association ( WLA ) is an amateur league of Senior Men A in indoor lacrosse , which is directed by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. The league consists of 7 teams, all of which are located in British Columbia . The winner of the season competes against the master of the Major Series Lacrosse at the Mann Cup every September of that year . The championship takes place annually alternately in Ontario and British Columbia.

The level of the league is comparatively high, as the majority of the players play in the National Lacrosse League in the WLA's off-season .

  • Boxing lacrosse has been established in Australia by the British Columbia Amateur Lacrosse Association since March 4, 1932
