White male system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

White male system (WMS) is a fighting term of feminism coined by Anne Wilson Schaef , which has almost completely replaced the term patriarchy in the USA since the 1970s and is used synonymously for it in Western Europe becomes.

The term WMS is based on the thesis that the social system of Western states is not - as postulated by equality feminists - generally male- centered , but is exclusively shaped by men of white skin and is geared towards their specific needs. This is based on the assumption that men, women, ethnic and other minorities etc. each live in different realities, with the political, social and economic system being tailored solely to the reality of the minority of white men.

This includes a criticism of the feminist demand for equal rights , since, according to Wilson Schaef and other feminists of difference, this is limited to the participation of women in the WMS, which is ultimately never possible, as this can never meet the specific needs of women. Instead, they propose upgrading female realities and giving them greater social weight so that female reality would eventually be taken into account. The way to get there could also lead through refusal to participate in the WMS or gender segregation. Wilson Schaef cites the indigenous peoples of North and South America as role models, who also refused to join the WMS.
