Wickringen ( Luxembourgish Wickreng , French Wickrange ) is a district of the Luxembourgish municipality Reckingen / Mess . 80 inhabitants live in the village (as of October 15, 2009).

history

Like Reckingen, Wickringen was owned by the Marienthal Monastery . In 1674, Pierre Beving from Steinbrücken acquired high jurisdiction over the place. In 1719 it came to the Meysemburg manor, and in 1767 it came into the possession of the nobles of Rümelingen.

In church terms, Wickringen belongs to the parish of Steinbrücken.
