Reconstruction value

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term reconstruction value is used in the context of building insurance. It describes the financial amount that is needed to rebuild a building, e.g. B. after complete destruction by fire or earthquake.

As a rule, the reconstruction value does not correspond to the market value of the property, which is also influenced by the value of the property, the condition of the building and, above all, the location of the property.

In the building insurance industry, the reconstruction value is often determined using the sliding new value factor .
