Prince Viktor Kochubey ( Russian Виктор Павлович Кочубей ; Ukrainian Віктор Павлович Кочубей * 11 . Jul / 22 November 1768 greg. In Dykanka , Poltava Governorate , Russian Empire , now Ukraine ; † 3 jul. / June 15, 1834 greg . in Moscow , Russian Empire) was a politician of the Russian Empire and confidante of Tsar Alexander I.

Kotschubei came from a Cossack noble family . He initially worked in the diplomatic service at the Russian embassies in London and Paris and later in the Ottoman Empire . After the reform of the Tsarist government by Alexander I , he held the post of Foreign Minister from 1801 to 1802 and then from 1802 to 1807 and again from 1819 to 1825 the post of Minister of the Interior. In 1834 he was appointed Chancellor (Канцлер) of the Russian Empire, but died a short time later.
