Wild Canyon
The German country band Wild Canyon , based in the Hessian Rheingau , was founded in 1975 by Gunther Eberhardt.
The band only exists as a pure studio project by Gunther Eberhardt and no longer performs. Former members were Roland Buch (drums) Wolfgang Stamm (drums) Siegfried "Siggi" Klietsch (guitar), Gerd Vogel (guitar), Erich Rötting (bass), Alex Sonntag and Jens Meireis (keyboards). 1980 the first album "Laugh, Tingle & Shiver" was released on the small label Comma-Records. The instrumental "Poor Boy Jamboree" was often used as an indicative in various radio magazines in the following years, especially with Europa-Welle Saar (band from: Music for fans).
After two albums on Comma Records, the Bear Family Records collector label took over the release of a total of four Wild Canyon LPs and one CD. After "A New Day A-Comin '", which was released by KOCH in 1994, Gunter Eberhardt founded his own label, "Stonebridge Records".
Gunter Eberhardt produces in his own studio. Most of the compositions also come from him. Bob Altee, who translates Gunther Eberhardt's German texts into English, has occasionally also contributed his own compositions to the band's repertoire.
