Wildcat in Lake Compounce ( Bristol , Connecticut , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with the serial number 61 , which opened in 1927. It is located at the point in the park where the Green Dragon roller coaster previously did its laps.

It is one of the oldest roller coasters in the world that is still in use. The entire structure was rebuilt in 1986 by Charlie Dinn and Curtis D. Summers and the last mounds were rebuilt in 2004. It was closed on September 17, 2006 for renovation work and reopened for the 2007 season. Your old brakes were replaced with new magnetic brakes and the trains were fitted with individual seat belts. Between 2016 and 2017, out of season, the railway got completely new rails from the manufacturer Martin & Vleminckx .

Trains

Wildcat owns two trains made by Great Coasters International , each with seven cars. Two people (in a row) can be seated in each carriage. Originally, the railway had trains from Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, each with three cars for six people (three rows of two people). These trains were replaced by Great Coasters International trains in parallel with the rail replacement in 2016/2017.
