The Zurich Wilderness Park is a combination of forest , wilderness and animals. With its sub-areas, the Langenberg wildlife park and the Sihlwald , it covers around twelve square kilometers and has over 500,000 visitors annually. Since 2010 the Wilderness Park Zurich has been recognized as the first nature adventure park to be federally recognized. The Wildnispark Zurich Foundation emerged from the earlier organizations “Naturlandschaft Sihlwald” and “Wildpark Langenberg” of the City of Zurich.
The Wilderness Park Zurich wants to offer the urban population nature experiences and relaxation in the agglomeration of Zurich-Zug-Lucerne. Courses, guided tours and workshops are offered for groups, school classes or individuals. A larger event takes place in spring and on the first Sunday in October.
