Wilhelm Külz badge of honor

The Wilhelm-Külz-Badge of Honor was awarded by the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in 1957 on the occasion of the 7th party congress of the LDPD as the party's highest honor. Her award for "outstanding services to strengthening and consolidating the party" took place on the decision of the secretariat of the central executive committee. The gold-plated badge is round and has a diameter of 26 mm. It shows the head portrait of Wilhelm Külz within three separate rings, which are shown in the colors black, red and gold , which in turn is enclosed by the inscription: FOR OUTSTANDING MERIT (above) and LDPD (below). The back shows a cross-soldered needle with a counter-hook.
