Wilhelm Piepenbrink

Wilhelm Piepenbrink (born August 22, 1897 in Elberfeld ; † July 27, 1960 ) was a German politician of the FDP .

education and profession

Wilhelm Piepenbrink graduated from the Realgymnasium. From 1914 to 1918 he was a soldier in the First World War. From 1920 to 1923 he studied political science and economics at the universities of Berlin and Erlangen. In 1923 he obtained his doctorate in Erlangen. rer. pole. From 1923 he was tax syndicate at the Chamber of Agriculture in Lippe-Detmold. Until 1929 he worked as editor-in-chief in the newspaper industry. From 1930 he worked as a dyer in his parents' business. From 1939 to 1945 he did military service and was a prisoner of war. After 1945 he worked in economic consulting. From 1946 he acted as chairman of the Bergisches Färber- und Blleicher-Verband.

Wilhelm Piepenbrink was a city councilor in Wuppertal from 1948. There he was group leader of the national right.

Wilhelm Piepenbrink was from July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954 and from June 3, 1957 to July 12, 1958 a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He moved into the 2nd state parliament via the state list of the FDP, and moved up to the 3rd state parliament .

Elected as a representative of the national right on the state reserve list of the FDP, he was a guest of the FDP parliamentary group. Piepenbrink joined the FDP and switched to the FDP parliamentary group on January 24, 1954.
