Willdenow Medal

The Willdenow Medal is awarded by the Botanical Garden Berlin to people who have made an extraordinary contribution to the reconstruction of the Botanical Garden and the Botanical Museum after the Second World War.

It is named after Carl Ludwig Willdenow . On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Botanical Garden in Berlin, 22 medals were awarded.
