Ittenheim is a French commune with 2,111 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region ( Alsace until 2015 ). It belongs to the canton of Mundolsheim . On January 1, 2015, the municipality moved from the Arrondissement Strasbourg-Campagne to the Arrondissement Saverne .
The municipality of Ittenheim is only ten kilometers west of the city center of Strasbourg , which can be reached via the D 1004 expressway.
Ittenheim's neighboring communities are Hurtigheim in the north, Oberschaeffolsheim in the east, Achenheim in the southeast, Breuschwickersheim in the south, Osthoffen in the southwest, Handschuheim in the west and Furdenheim in the northwest.
