On January 1, 2015, the municipality moved from the Arrondissement Strasbourg-Campagne to the Arrondissement Saverne .

The municipality of Ittenheim is only ten kilometers west of the city ​​center of Strasbourg , which can be reached via the D 1004 expressway.
