Hinsingen is a French commune with 87 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1328 as Heyngesingen , was located in the County of Saar Werden and came into the possession of the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken through inheritance in the 15th century . The place and the castle were originally located in a valley, but the current place was rebuilt at the top of the hill after being destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and prolonged devastation in the late 17th century.
