Vœllerdingen ( German Völlerdingen am Eichelbach ) is a French commune with 398 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).

geography

Vœllerdingen is located in the north of Crooked Alsace on the Eichel and belongs to the canton of Ingwiller.

The neighboring communities are Oermingen in the north, Dehlingen in the east, Lorentzen in the southeast, Domfessel in the south, Sarre-Union in the southwest and Keskastel in the west.

history

Vœllerdingen was first mentioned in a document in 1128. In the 15th century it belonged to the County of Saar Werden and from 1745–1793 to Nassau-Weilburg.
