Otterswiller (German: Ottersweiler ) is a French commune with 1,339 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the canton of Saverne in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).

geography

The community at the foot of the Northern Vosges is three kilometers south of the city of Saverne . The other neighboring communities are Schwenheim in the southeast, Marmoutier in the south and Gottenhouse in the southwest.

Historic buildings

The Molsheim- Saverne railway line is no longer in operation today. A viaduct and the former train station have been preserved.
