It was founded on January 1, 2017 and comprises 35 parishes. The administrative headquarters are located in Saverne .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

The association, originally founded as Communauté de communes de Saverne-Marmoutier-Sommerau , changed its name to the current name with effect from January 1, 2018.
